From your service request to your Proof of Service Affidavit — here's exactly what happens.

Submit Your Documents
Submit your service request, documents, and the address where service should be attempted. Please provide a residential or work address for the subject.

We Prepare for Service
We review your service request and documents, confirm the service address you provide, and prepare for the service attempts.

Up to 3 Attempts Made
We make up to 3 documented attempts at the address you provide, on different days and at different times. Attempts may be made in the morning, afternoon, evening, and include a weekend attempt when appropriate.

Standard Service Timing
The first attempt will normally be made within 48–72 hours. Up to 3 attempts will be completed within a 5–7 day timeframe, with attempts scheduled at different times and on different days when possible.

Rush Service
The first attempt will normally be made within 24–36 hours. Up to 3 attempts will be completed within 3–5 days, depending on availability and location.

Same-Day Service
When Same-Day Service is selected, an attempt will be made the same day, subject to availability and the service location. 24-hour and rush service is available. Availability may depend on the service location and timing of the request.
What Happens If Service Fails?
If service is unsuccessful after the available attempts, I will provide you with a Proof of Non-Service listing the attempts made. You can take this documentation to the court to request alternate service. Once alternate service is granted by the court, Posting/Alternate Service can be ordered to post the documents at the defendant's last known address.
What Counts as Valid Service in Michigan?
Michigan Court Rules (MCR 2.105) require personal service by an adult who is not a party to the case. After diligent effort, substitute service may be allowed by court order. We document every attempt with date, time, and location to support a clean affidavit and any future motion for alternate service.
